DT60 which tilt solenoid??
Brains gone dead (as has one of my tilt trim solenoids)
Two wires one green one blue go from the solenoids, to the tilt trim motor.
Would only power up, not down, seems to be a common niggle.
Swapped the green and blue to check the motor - relief the motor now powers down and not up so problem is solenoids
Gone blank at that point ! is it the upper solenoid or the lower solenoid ? (the trim tilt switch on the engine casing is disconnected before my owenership....and i cant reach the helm tilt trim AND listen to the engine to work out which one is clicking and not working !). Should have added,faulty tilt solenoid clicks (cant tell which one though!), but no motor movement
So....is the wiring standard enough for someone to state `its the upper` solenoid ? (or the lower?)
And.......is there anything worth me checking on the solenoid before buying another ? earth or something? adding another earth wire ? Not vrey good at elecs as you have probably gathered....
Update worth remembering (unless you already knew!). Green and blue tilt trim wires ?? Green is DOWN Blue is UP - blue sky up green grass down. Simpls
