I live in NZL and need to recon a 2010 DT-15 2 stroke 2 cyl manual start premix.
The problem I have is buying parts online as USA stopped allowing these 2 strokes from 1997 onwards? and all the big parts warehouses like boats.net stop offerring parts after the 1989-1997 DT-15C model. I pulled out the head gasket from my 2010 engine and it looks just like the one from a 1997 in the photo, shape, slots all same by photo comparison.
Can anyone tell me if a 1997 powerhead gasket set will fit in a 2010 DT-15 motor? did the factory just keep churning out the old design or did they make changes to the castings etc?
