dt150 supersix what year and any problems

I just bout a 99 ranger r73 with a dt150. serial is 1501 804869. From what i read it is a 1998 motor just wondering if that was true. And what problems are there with this motor and should i change it out. havent fired it up yet but it was ran last summer..Also looking for a prop as well the one on it is bent severly..Thanks

That serial number is a 1988 model.

*** didnt realize it was that old.. doesnt look like it. The last owner said it fires on the first start. All in all is this a pretty good motor. I will probably sell it and get a 130 since that is what it is rated at..thanks for all your help
