Two Cylinder Two Stroke Spark

Gday Guys n Girls,

I'm playing around with an old 83-85 DT8S that has spark issues. Does anyone have an electrical flow diagram? Im trying to establish whether both spark plugs fire together or independantly of each other.

Also if someone could please advise the difference between the 83-84 and 84-85 CDI unit and generator coil units. The only difference I have seen is the plug. I beleive the early unit plug pins are in a triangle format where as the late pins are in a line. Can anyone confirm this as there is a substantial price difference between them.

Both cylinders fire at same time. You would have to have a stator and ignition coil matched from same model for it to work.
