6hp 4 stroke no spark?

I have a 2004 6hp johnson (manufactured by suzuki I am told) that does not spark. This engine sat in its crate from Johnson until 2012, when I bought it for my son for Christmas. He has used it less than 20 hours. Now I have no spark. Is there a fuse in this engine anywhere that may have blown, otherwise I am looking at the coil or ECM module? Any easy way to test this instead of taking in to the shop and spending a lot of money on this little engine? Thanks in advance for the help....

Disconnect blue/red wire from stop switch and recheck for spark, if have spark switch or wiring to switch is bad. If no spark then need to test CDI & coil unit.
