How much trouble would it be to convert a long shaft lower unit to a short shaft lower unit? THANKS

Don't know what model you have but would probably have to change mid section, drive shaft, shift shaft and water tube. -
i have a 2007 DF 90 short 20 in lower unit. Ihave found a long shaft lower unit to replace it. I just need to know what I am going to get into jjust exchanging the shafts.THANKSComment

a 20'' lower uint is a long shaft (l) .(s)a short is 15''. (x) is 25'' (xx)30''
i don't think they made a 15'' for a 90 hp.Comment
