  • Suzuki DT 140hp overheating

Bought a 140hp ( late 80's) four cylinder two stroke Suzuki engine and experiencing an overheating problem.

When the motor is started, it pee a solid stream water out the pee hole, but when the engine starts heating up, it starts to sputter water erratically and then stops altogether and just steam blowing out of the pee hole - usually after 5 minutes of idling its steaming.
I opened the top cover and found the thermostat stuck /seized fully open and I replaced it with still the same problem. Removed the thermostat altogether and still same symptoms...
What is causing this or what is wrong. Please help and thanks.

Could be blown head gasket, may need new water pump.
