outboard mount for df90

Hi,
The ply that was used as a mounting material on the transom of my jeanneau merry fisher has started to rot and needs replacement. It has been suggested that iroko wood may be a better replacement. Does anyone have any thoughts on that.

really doesn't matter what you use, marine ply or some plastic material,it is readily available from almost any boat shop.
