suzuki 1999 dt 85

New to me 1999 suzuki dt 85, question about warning buzzer and engine monitor. When i turn the ignition on the oil level gauge is the only thing that lights up on the monitor and the warning buzzer does not beep, is this correct. Thanks

Don't remember if 99 had self check feature.
