2006 DF 150 Water Pump question

With motor off and hose running it pees like it should, but not peeing like it should when motor is on. Tried compressed air...bubbles where it should at intake. Lines not blocked. Where is the pump located in the motor and how do I get to it? Is it mechanical or electrical? I appreciate all help...thank you.

its mechanical and on the leg you have to remove the bottom get a w/ shop manual
