2004 200hp four stroke

My motor says Johnson, but I know its a Suzuki(that's the only reason I bought it). When I crank it up, it idles really high, then cuts off, like it can't catch back up when the RPMs lower. I have to give it some throttle to keep it running. After that it runs perfect.

Has anyone had this problem?

It could be any number of things, the ECU controls the timing for the fast idle which is based on sensor signals to ECU. Need to have it tested.
