thermostat

I have a single 2005 DF140 on my boat and wanted to change the thermostat as my mechanic thinks it may be what triggered my overheating light. I went to boats.net and it all looked foreign...im new to Outboards, could yall give me a hand? Which part do I need? I heard I need 2 of them, true?

17670-90J00 for a 60°C, or 17670-90J10 for a 71°C. Either one will work fine, but as far as I know, there's only one. He might have meant for you to change the water pressure valve at the same time, part number 17660-90J00. About $50 for the stat, $15 for the valve.
