What is the condition of your fuel primer bulb when this happens? By chance does it "cave in"?

Are you sure its not shutting down to like 2500 rpm and staying there? it could be that pain in the butt Fuel flow sensor..I had that issue and I unplugged it and have run 100s of gallons of fuel thru it and no issue..

Pull Your fuel injectors and send them and have them cleaned by a proffesional who can clean and reset them.

What Tom said ... if you have a restriction in your fuel tank vent or your fuel pickup it would act like that.

Try running the motor from a known good portable fuel tank and if you have no problem with that you can start checking the fuel tank.
