DT9.9C broken piston.

I have a 1992 DT9.9C that the skirt has broken off the bottom piston. There is some cosmetic damage to the crankcase and 2 of the crankshaft bearings are bad. Does anyone know how this happened? It doesn't appear to be an oil issue because there is no burning or bluing of the metal. Anyway, does anyone know where I might get a Replacement piston? Preferably used as I'm trying to keep the cost to a minimum.

I had the same problem with my dt85. My piston ended up smashed and con rid was bent over. No idea how it happened. But it was a costly repair
