I have a 2002 DF90 Suzuki. I was going to replace my water pump and found out when I went to drop the lower unit it would only come down part of the way. After much togging it came down. I found the driveshaft has a lower guide bushing in the driveshaft housing that was totally cooked. After much work I finally got what was left of the bushing out. I found much corrosion and two pinkie size holes in the bushing housing around it. The exhaust escaping in the holes burned the bushing up. Is there a repair for this?

Thanks Mitch, replacing the housing I know would take care of the problem, but I really don't want to pull the powerhead. I've been told that is the only way to replace the housing. Does anyone have a magic wand. lol

        kenny1,

Do you have the maintenance repair manual for your motor? it shows you everything you need to do.
