1. i am leaking gas from the fuel pump on a 8 hp 2 stroke 1986 model. is there a way to bypass the pump or do i buy a new diaphram ? what are your ideas ? 2. replaced the impeller.but it only pumps water when the motor gets hot. on idle and first starting, no water comes out. what is happening ?

Did you replace the water pump liner and inspect the gaskets/seals, when you replaced the water pump? You should repair or replace the fuel pump.

the fuel pump is a diaphram. i replaced the seals in the water pump.
