Replacing lower unit on DT 85

I am looking to replace my damaged lower unit on my 1987 DT85. I found a lower unit for sale from a 1989 DT 85. Will this unit fit my engine??

I had to change mine recently. I put a 1984 lower unit on my 1991 topend and it works fine. Can't see why yours wouldn't work.
