Connecting commander gauges question

I just bought a boat with a 2004 DT140 and the seller provided a set of Commander series gauges for speed and tach. I'm looking at the installation manuals, and they reference a good number of single wire connections to make to the motor. I'm wondering if there is a better way to do this as the wires in the motor cowling are prety well hidden. Im hoping there is a factory adaptor to make this cleaner and easier.

Have any of you connected these gauges to this motor? Any tips you can provide?
