Suzuki DT 2.2 - Stalls under load

I have a DT2.2, it start and runs fine in a test tank - However, when on the back of my tender under load, it stalls after 30 seconds. I've cleaned the carb, everything else looks ok and clean, including the spark plug. I've been told it could be the coil - Could a faulty coil cause this type of problem?

It should not, Check the spark, if it is a strong blue spark, then not likely your problem. Be sure your carburetor & timing adjustments are correct.
