3000-5000 rpm for 60 sec then stall

My 2009 225 Suzuki starts and runs perfect. When I throtle up to 3000 rpm or higher the motor runs for 30-40 seconds then bogs down and stalls. Changed the exterior gas water seperator the internal one as well as all the fuel filters as well as the screen in th VP seperator. She still boggs down at the higher RPM's the fuel is good. I assume it is a sensor. Any ideas??

Check to see of the primer bulb is collapsed or soft when it stalls. Could be a collapsing fuel line or blocked vent on the fuel tank.

I got to the boat tonight and immediately cleaned the fuel vent, than I ran the boat tonight and watched the fuel ball, I was happy to see it collapse into a pancake. I by passed the fuel ball by using a brass nipple.
Started her up and had her going to 5500 rpm I thought we had it beat, then wham, off. I am going to replace the fuel line tomorrow. I thought the balls in the primer ball were stuck but after removing the primer ball the 2 check valve balls were not stuck. The only reason I think the primer ball collapsed was there might be a restriction in the fuel line. After this I’m guessing the next step is a mechanic.

Just happened to think.....you might also have to check the fuel pickup in the tank. If it's got a sock on it that's dirty, or the intake is plugged in any other way, you'd have the same result.

Just soooo weird. ok now changed the following:

the entire fuel line
the prime bulb
the check valve nipple on the gas tank
every fuel filter in the motor
external and internal gas water seperators
vsp screen
then
cleaned fuel pick up but it looked perfect before.
cleaned vent

Ran the boat with the fuel cap off she did stall out but it took much longer. ran her again at 4000 rpm steadyfor 10 min.

Any Ideas!!! The boat was trailerd from Long Island to Brooklyn could any thing have come loose??????

Hmmm...it's getting tough now...I assume that this is a new problem, and you've run it prior to this and the problem has just cropped up. That being the case, then it's unlikely that the fuel line is too small for the motor, if it ran fine until recently. Also assume that the primer bulb is installed in the correct direction. Obviously not a vacuum problem in the tank caused by a blocked vent, since it did the same with the cap off. I can't imagine what might have come loose that would cause such a problem, especially since you've replaced so many items already. Seems it almost has to be something prior to the primer bulb. I can't think of anything else, man. But if I do, I'll post it up. Sorry. And good luck.

i cant see it being anything oter than before the primor ball. its just wierd how it ran much longer this time. i dont like the fact that the ball collapses. It is installed correctly. i ran the motor with the cover off and watched the fuel pump fill the cup with the filter before the VSP. i am hookig up a fuel tank tomorrow to eliminate the idea of it being a fuel tank issue.

unreal, problem solved.

The fuel line coming out of the haress to the plastic nipple was callapsing. the 2 inch piece of exposed hose got soft after a few years and was folding. I cliped off 1 inch and she ran like a champ. tomorrow I am eliminating the nipple and running my fuel line right into the motor.

Which fuel line was collapsing?

My DF100 did it once this spring.

Cleaned FW separator and all ran well for 2 months.

Went out this past weekend twice and in some chop my tank (under CC) slide out onto my feet, engine bogged out. Put tank back in place but am still having bogging down issues. Runs fine at trolling speed but any serious throttle it boggs down. Did notice primer bulb collapsed on Sunday but then it rebounded.

Maybe pinched a fuel line somewhere?
