Greetings. I am a retired forester with little mechanical skills. My passion is fishing, mostly rivers but too many years on the BC mountainsides has resulted in some Arthritis in my knees so long walks are becoming increasingly difficult. My brother-in-law recently gave me a 14' Lund aluminum boat with a Suzuki 20 HP outboard which I hope will enable me to carry on fishing even if it is in the sea and on lakes. One problem, I also have some Arthritis in my right sholder and that old Suzuki has plenty of compression. I took the cover off today and noticed the fly wheel has gear (teeth) and there appears to be some mounting brackets that look to be in a spot where a starter moter may be attached. (1) Can a starter motor be fitted to that motor (SN # P 10142)? and (2) Is there somewhere I can purchase a starter for that motor?

My mistake; "2001" is stamped on the ID plate but the serial number starts with "P" so it was probably made in 1993. Thanks, twogone
