Changing 2006 DF200 to short 20in shaft???

I have a 2006 (K6) DF200 4 stroke with a 25in shaft. What is needed to change the motor to the shorter 20in shaft. I am taking it off my saltwater boat and want to use it on my Bass boat. Can this be done?

Yes this usually can be done, you will need to replace the drive shaft and all the mounting bolts for the lower unit.
