'09 DF90A PTT issue

My PTT from the throttle handle works just fine, however the PTT when accessed from the engine cowling switch blows the fuse when running it "down". It will raise the engine, no problem, however pops the fuse after a second or two in the down position. It is not the switch, I bought a new one for 75.00 plus shipping that they will not take back. I also jumped around the switch and the fuse blows when trying to lower the engine. It is a hassle when on the ramp by yourself trying to get the transom saver in position to trailer. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Check the wiring between pan switch and trim relay for shorts.
