My DT40 acted like it ran out of fuel, running great then just lost power and quit after a min or so it restart and ran for five min or so then did the same thing again just like it ran out of gas. after checking gas and oil levels, clean and repair carb, fuel pump and fuel filter it will just hit and spit. found low spark to one plug other is strong. is there something that will cause low spark to one plug like oil level sensor? oil level gauge is working and can see oil in exhaust. or is it the ignition control that is $250 to $500 new.

It could be bad stator coil, pulsor coil, CDI unit, ignition coils or bad spark plug.

      found problem

found problem with low fire, it was the oil tank level sensor is going bad, my motor has gauge on console so I unplug wires to cdi and presto full fire is back. this motor set for about a year before I got it and while looking for problems I also found all factory type fuel lines. o-rings and gaskets from the fuel tank to the needle valve in the carb are bad Suzuki mech. told me it is because of today's lousy fuel. I am rebuilding fuel system at this time. will post updates so maybe this will help someone else.
