Just a thought, have a 1987 dt140 and i looked at my primer bulb, and after all these years, it looks awfully small compared to the ones i see out there. Would the size of the bulb make any difference on performance of the engine?

is your engine fuel injected? If so you really dont need a primer bulb..nice to have for back up...as for size 3/8 I would think be the size for that engine. -
It is a carb, but the primer bulb itself is 21 years old and it is only 3 1/2in. long, which is smaller than most I see. I do think it is about time to change itComment

yes I think you got your moneys worth for sure....If your fuel hose is just as old I would replace all that at the same time with the newer ethanol friendly hose/Bulb....good luckComment
