  • Problem removing powerhead DF115

    Hi
This is my first post in this forum.
I have a DF 115 -03 with the classic problem with corrosion hole in the engine holder.
My real problem is that I cant get the powerhead off.
I have removed all 16 bolts from the oilpan and the engine holder but the
powerhead i stuck. Have i misssed something or is there any trick to remove the powerhead?

    Best Regards

Hi i just took my df140 power unit off with no effort, you might have a seized on prop shaft, try removing the lower unit . It make the job a lot easer in the end

      Thanks for your reply.
I have already tried to lift the powerhead with the lower unit removed.
Its totally stuck and I cant lift it a single mm. It feels like I haved missed all bolts but i followed the service manual.

Soon I try the sledge hammer on this .... engine

      Best Regards
      Marcus

        i have the same problem

Did you find an easy way to get the powerhead off of the adapter? I was going to try wood shims to slowly lift it up but I don't even have enough room to get the shim started.
