PTT Tilt Shaft Won't come out DF115

I am trying to replace the reservoir for my PTT on my 2002 DF115. I removed the snap rings that hold the tilt shaft in place, but I cannot remove the tilt shaft. I have no pressure on it as the eyelet joint rocks back and forth when I shake it. I have been hitting the tilt shaft with a hammer and it has only moved an eight of an inch or so. I feel like I am doing more harm than good at this point.

Anyone have any suggestions??

Never tried it but looks like the single shaft trim units the shaft doesn't come out.

I was finally able to get the pin out using a CRC product that freezes the shaft. After it warmed back up I was able to hit it with a hammer and punch and get it out.
