I have a 1989 Suzuki 150. I am having power issues. It starts and idles fine. When I try to get on plane it falls flat on its face it wont die it just plows thru the water. The first time it happened was three weeks ago is was able to get on plane by giving it full throttle and push in the electric choke. Once on plane i released the choke and it ran fine, but I had to do this everytime to get on plane. So I changed the spark plugs added some Staybil took it out to test and it was fine. I ran it hard stopping and starting many times. Thought all was well. Took it out this past weekend and it ran fine all day until our evening run. It took off got on plane then fell on its face again and choking it would not help like before.

Sounds like it's starving for fuel, probably need to remove and clean carbs. -
fuel issues are causing this problem.
I've had similar issues w/ my DT200.
I'm still fighting fuel issues w/ my engine.
I've rebuilt all 3 carbs; changed the fuel pumps and all lines.
I'm not really happy w/ this engine; too sensitive and too many issues due to fuel related problems.
