i purchased a used powerhead from a dealer.it came with no reeds or carbs.my engines heads have a hose that runs from top to bottom on them.this one i got doesnt have that.it just has covers over the thurmostats.do i need to put my top heads on here or is it ok the way they have it.also i noticed some dust or dirt up in the engine(probably from shipping).is there a cleaner i can spray up in there to wash this out before i put my reeds and carbs and all on here.thank you guys so much for any help you can give me.

You should be able to use the motor the way it came. Power tune would work good for cleaning the interior engine. -
i noticed a bunch of chalky stuff in the head cover.and the thumostats that were in it were just eat up.so i pulled the heads(and broke a lot of bolts).so now im going to clean all the water passages.is there a cleaner to use to get all that out of there.thanksComment

There is a the salt terminator which would help with the corrosion and there are other engine flushing additives that may work well.Comment
