help with 88 dt 150s oil pump delete

hello every one.i need some help.i have a 88 model dt 150 s.i bought the boat thing knowing that the engine needed work.it turns out that the oil wasnt getting to the starbord side of the cylenders.i called browns point and they said i could just pre mix my gas.i would need to un hook the oil injection and remove the oil pump gear from the engine.i need to make a plate to cover the opening from the gear being out.i was wanting to see if any of you have done this and is there anything else i need to do.i dont want buzzers going off and all.i dont want to risk the powerhead i just bought by relying on the oil injection.please any help is greatly appreciated

I do not believe that your model has an oil sensor, so that should be all you require to convert to premix. Be sure to plug all the oil ports to ensure no air leaks.
