  • DF-50 fuel overflow, needle seat float?

my df50 suzuki is overflowing fuel,. ive been told needle is stuck or float is bad. i loosened the cover and it feels that the float is empty. I move it up and down sprayed some seafoam in there and move up and down... put back together and still overflow...trying to avoid removing manifold and injectors.. please help.

there really is nothing to it, the float raises as the float bowl fills and the rubber tip of the float needle seals off any new gas from coming in so if its flooding and the float is ok then the float needle is bad and needs replacing

      replace needle

can i do that? how? if i dont remove manifold i have limited space. I can loosen up the cover to the float maybe 1-1/2 inch's. . how is the needle removed?

First remove the cowling from around btm of motor. Then remove the plastic guards from around the fly wheel. You should be able to access intake manifold & any parts you need to remove to get to Vapor Recovery.
At first I to was hesitant. I completed the repair in 1 hour

if i remove the manifold do i need to worry about fuelinjectors. i was told maybe have to bleed. and what about the gasket?
