DT100 install

Hey all, new to the forum and also a new owner of a 1990 DT100 suzuki. I just hooked it up and all i get is an alarm when turning key. It started fine on previous owners boat but he had all the gauges hooked up and i dont have gauges. The manual says it has a computer that detects safe oil levels, water flow etc... for operation. Wondering if this is my problem and if so is there a way to override the gauge hookup to get it started. Any info would be helpful thanks

Make sure oil tank is full of oil and check all wire harness connections are installed correctly.
