My power trim on my suzuki will stop working but can be temporarily fixed by lightly tapping the trim motor. This used to happen when I would accidentally hit an object with my motor (stump, bottom of lake, etc.) at slow speeds. I would give the motor a light tap and it would be fine until I had another accident. These accidents were few and have happened over the course of 14 yrs. The motor is now locking up frequently. Can anyone give me some advice on a fix. Thanks.

I called Brownspoint and they told me to raise the engine and turn manual release and let engine down and repeat. They said the valve was for the purpose of releiving pressure on the cylinders when you strike an object. They said something about a possible air bubble in the lines from the impact.Seems to have worked so far. Those guys are pretty sharp and great customer sevice.
