help determining year of outboard plz

bought an engine that needed repaired
but dont what year it is the serial numbers are gone
its an old suzuki 25hp 2 stroke cant even take the guys word for it being 25hp cuz theres not a thing on it cud be something else.
could any 1 determin the year
i need a head gasket
can any1 help

Check the engine, most outboards have a freeze plug with the serial number.

i got this number of the cdi unit 33410-93312
i typed it into browns point marine and it was replaced with 33410-88311
can any1 tell the year from this thx

barring nos. , if head is off already , use the new technolgy , get some pics of old gasket . pretty sure boats.net can help after that .

Not sure, all the 25 I see are all 3 cylinder engines.

did you ever resolve your year question, I have the same issue, and mine looks very similar to yours (same colour, twin cylinder) mine is a 9 HP

could you tell me which part number is on you coil assy ignition
to see if its same as mine
