How often should you change your water pumps?

The reason for the question is. I change my water pumps every season. But, the last couple of changes. I noticed that they looked like they were brand new and did not show any signs of wear. Can you go two seasons without changing them?

Usually it is recommended that you change your water pump every two years.

i went five years and no big deal. My dealer said as long as the tattle tale is strong don't worry about it
