I posted a while back asking if anyone knew how a yamaha control box would work on a DF140...the problem being not enough travel for the gear shift at the engine.
Here's the solution if anyone is interested, just drill another hole in the gear arm closer to the pivot, works a treat!
Now the only problem I have with the engine is 'cold' starting.
Not that it's cold here, I'm finding that the engine only starts and keeps running with idle throttle advanced a little.
After a couple of minutes it idles perfectly and does not stall.
The computer diagnostic does not bring up any faults, all filters have been changed, new plugs etc etc. It's an older engine so I guess this is just par for the course?
