My DT140 started overheating and spitting water out through the exhaust vent below the engine cover. The amount of water was proportional to the rpm of the engine. As I tore down the jet foot I found that the impeller looked good, but the rubber gasket that mates to the impeller was burnt and shot. I am assuming the gasket or upper part of the water cooling tube where it mates to the lower unit may be shot also.
I removed the bolts holding in the water tube but is does not want to come out. Is there a nut above the tube that locks in the tube or does it just pull out with the bushing 09306-16011 then permit me to change the bushing? Maybe I just didn't pull hard enough and the bushing is okay. Afraid to break something. What do I do?
Please help parts are coming to finish repairs.
