Suzuki DF40 with Electric Tilt/Trim Malfunction

I have a late model (2006) Suzuki DF40 with electric tilt/trim. There is a malfunction in that the tilt/trim will operate without being actuated by the switch on the throttle or on the side of the motor cover. This has happened while under way and while sitting out of the water on the davitt, burning out the battery. Can anyone out there tell me how resolve this problem? Thank you.

Possible have water in one of the trim switches and need to replace switch, test each switch to find one thats shorting out.
